Section for Translational Oncological Surgery & Biobanking, Clinic for Surgery and Interdisciplinary Center for Biobanking - Lübeck

Together with the Fraunhofer Research Institute for Marine Biotechnology (EMB), the ICB-L is a part of the main research-driven biobank at BioMedTech, the Lübeck Biomedical Engineering Science Campus.
Within the BONEBANK project, the ICB-L establishes the infrastructure for collecting, preparing biomaterials as well as associated clinical data and making them available for research. Afterwards, the Section for Translational Oncological Surgery & Biobanking, Clinic for Surgery (STOB, Surgical Clinic) carries out proteomic and genomic analyses to enable a high quality of the cultivated stem cells. to the website

 

Tasks within the project:

  • Harvesting stem cells from bone samples
  • Validation of the developed and established method for the molecular quality assurance and its adaption to the GMP requirements

Completed:

  • Technical Infrastructure for the stem cell biobank
